With so much water surrounding Priest River, we naturally have our own swimming area, the "Mudhole,"(The Mudhole is not at all like it sounds) and more swimming spots nearby. The Mudhole, which is at the town’s east entrance where the Priest River enters the Pend Oreille, also has an RV and tent campground, boat launch and fishing area. Albeni Cove Recreation Area is on the Pend Oreille River adjacent to the Albeni Falls Dam. The Albeni Cove Recreation area also has a boat launch, tent campground, and fishing area. Riley Creek Campground and recreation area is on the north side of the river upstream at Laclede. Riley Creek also has tent and RV campsites, a wonderful swimming area, and boat launches.
