The Priest River Museum and Timber Education Center offers exhibits that are changed quarterly with an open house reception. The Museum will be open in the summer from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, weekend hours may vary. Upstairs is a Timber Education Center with artifacts, videos and pictures from our logging past.
As the Chamber of Commerce
gains more enthusiastic members the number of events is increasing.
Small town living isn't for everyone. But, for those of us
who love it, ours is the best of all worlds. We enjoys nature's
beauty every day and the changing seasons give us a wonderful
variety to please the eye. We enjoy a feeling of security,
knowing that we are among friends - not to mention knowing
that we have almost no violent crime. We enjoy use of the
rivers and lakes and mountains. And... when we tire of the
quiet life, the "big city" is only an hour away.
Take a walking tour of downtown and see some of the historic buildings, many which have been beautifully renovated. Our shopping offers everything from local artists, antiques, huckleberry products and all the basic necessities. There are many different restaurants in town offering great breakfasts, pizza, steak and burgers to Mexican, and more.
At West Bonner Park, there is a free public boat launch, and park with picnic tables and restrooms. In the city we have the City Park with picnic tables and childrens park. Tennis and basketball courts are located at another city park.
