Timber Day
Priest River Timber Day is always the last Saturday of July, and takes place at the Priest River City Park. Timber Day pays tribute to our heritage, and it features one of the last log load parades in the Northwest. We have over 100 entries for the parade each year. The park opens at 6:00 a.m. and there is always something to do. We start of the celebration on Friday Night. Our local car club, Asphalt Angels, has Hot Neon Nights beginning at 7:00 p.m. They cruise through town in their cars then gather downtown for a show. Early Saturday morning our Spartans Adult Booster Club begins a Huckleberry Pancake Breakfast at 6:00 a.m., followed by the Rotary Club's Run for the Berries fun run, the arts and craft booths open at 10:00 a.m., the parade begins at 11:00 a.m., the food booths also open at 11:00 a.m., logging events and competitions begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until 4:00 p.m., as well as the Asphalt Angels car show at the Priest River Junior High. The park closes at 4:00 p.m. The Asphalt Angels provide a family dance at Mitchells IGA parking lot beginning at 7:00 p.m.
