May Day
May Day is always the first Saturday of May. May Day is a town wide garage/yard, sidewalk/clearance. All the interested citizens of Priest River sign up on a map and the map gets printed in our local Priest River Times on the Wednesday prior to May Day. The businesses of Priest River have sidewalk/clearance sales. Restaurants also offer "to-go" specials for all of the shoppers this event brings to town.
4th of July
All year long the Chamber of Commerce works hard on
gathering donations for the 4th of July fireworks.
For the 2005 year,the celebration will be on the 3rd
of July at the West Bonner County Park. The Park fills
up around 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and the fireworks
start as soon as it gets dark out.
Children’s Christmas Party on Main Street
The first Monday of December is the Children’s Christmas Party on Main Street, which begins right after school at River Pig’s Inn. Santa Claus is available to take pictures with children. Children who bring in a canned good item as a donation to our local food bank receive a free hot chocolate. Hot dogs, toys, and other great items are also available for the kids. All of the proceeds from the Children’s Christmas Party get donated to the local food bank as well.
